Release Notes

I'm excited to announce that we've released NanaZip 7.0, version 2609.1 (7.0.1832.0), now available for download. Note: Read NanaZip Technical Focus from Kenji Mouri to clarify some future directions of NanaZip. Starting with NanaZip 7.0, NanaZip follows a rolling release model. Preview and stable builds share the same codebase, differing only in build mode. The "Preview" tag corresponds to NanaZip Preview, while no tag corresponds to NanaZip. Every stable release has a matching Preview release, but not vice versa. Releases use version YYMM.N, where YYMM is the release year and month and N starts at 1 each month. Matching Preview and stable releases share this identifier. For example:

  • Preview: NanaZip 7.0 Preview, version 2609.1
  • Stable: NanaZip 7.0, version 2609.1 Release Notes Note: These notes also cover the corresponding preview release.
  • Start using a rolling release model.
  • Synchronize 7-Zip mainline implementations to 26.03. (Except the NanaZip File Manager.) (Thanks to Igor Pavlov. Noticed by FadeMind.)
  • Add an Extract all button to the copy dialog. (Contributed by dinhngtu.)
  • Fix UTF-8 passwords for WinZip AES extraction. (Contributed by wyjh233.)
  • Fix the issue that copied text does not remain in the clipboard after closing the XAML information window.
  • Update Brazilian Portuguese translation. (Contributed by maisondasilva.)
  • Update Dutch translation. (Contributed by Stephan-P.)
  • Synchronize the 7-Zip ZS implementations to https://github.com/mcmilk/7-Zip-zstd/tree/e234d7f29f95c08cb642bcb9616cdb7d45f9862e. (Except the NanaZip File Manager.) (Thanks to Sergey G. Brester and Tino Reichardt.)
